KAREN ASHCRAFT COLE
PARALEGAL
Our North Carolina Estate Planning and Elder Law attorneys are committed to honoring the life, work, and charity of every individual.
Karen Cole knows that many people do not look forward to estate planning, and that’s one reason she gains a true sense of accomplishment when she helps people achieve their goals and protect their families with the right plan for the future.
Karen offers clients the benefit of a unique level of practical expertise. She earned her Paralegal Certificate from UNC-Chapel Hill after graduating from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. This educational background enables her to provide an empathetic approach to estate planning that reaches far beyond numbers and documents. For Karen, the most important aspects of estate planning involve listening to clients’ concerns and respecting their goals.
“Each client has different needs and desires,” she observes, “so I approach each one as a blank slate.” Rather than trying to get clients’ goals to fit a pre-made plan, she works to build custom documents to fit the clients’ objectives.
Above all else, she hopes clients know that they matter and feel that they are cared for.
Although born in Stone Mountain, Georgia, Karen has lived in North Carolina for over 20 years. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and taking advantage of all the natural settings our region has to offer. She also captures the best of nature through painting and expresses the joy of motion through dance.
